Thread: Making good RIS armor
On the sharnaff plating, you'll only be able to use one, and the sharnaff plating enhancer (not the plating segments) does not add to the base.
Personally, I'm shooting for interwoven + janta hide + yellow cube + triple kinetic layers when/if I loot my next GDK scale. A lot of folks on the forums seem to be using nightsister layers and shards, and red cubes for interwoven to get HAM down, but noone on my server cares about HAM. They're only impressed with base resists, regardless of whether or not it takes buffs, food, and spice to even fit into the stuff. If you were concerned about the acid and stun vunerabilites then you could use those layers.

I was able to make these leggings with the following components:
http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=60546
3, 7% Nightsister Layers
1, 3% Janta Hide
1, 4% Yellow Geo Cube
Granted they are pretty useless in PvP, but I dont see RIS ever really usable in pvp without giving it no vulnerabilties. It costs to much to do experimenting on.
