Thread: Pricing of Armors and What's good and what's not?
I'm working on armorsmith right now (4/1/0/1 w00t!), and I was wondering a few things about what I'm doing. *laughs*
I get the idea that composite armor is the best, and ubese is the best bang for your buck, but what does that consist of? What's a good price to price armors at? I looked at the bazaar and saw mabari armor breast plates going for 100credits and up. For the amount of resources used to make those...it dosen't seem worth selling them.
basicaly...How do you know what to sell your armor at? Is there a calculator somewhere that you can enter the price you payed for resources + the resist values + type of armor, and then it gives you an estimate price of what it might be worth?*laughs* (I used to play Ragnarok and they had calculators for a lot of usefull things. hehe) hehe

There's a few things you need to know. First off, you need to get techniques up to either 3 or 4. Techniques one doesn't give you much in terms of experimentation, and without it you won't make very good armor.
Here's a few tips. Sell Chitin parts on the bazaar for between 3-6k. With techniques one, you won't be able to get the high resists that get the big bucks, but you will have access to Advanced Chitin Segments, which should equalize a bit.I can sell crap Chitin parts on the bazaar and make enough money to keep the harvesters running.
To be more specific: Sell everything but leggings, chest and helmet for 3k. Sell leggings, chest and helmet for 6k. It will get sold eventually, especially if you put it in Bestine or Coronet bazaar terminals.
If you find the product movement a little slow, try reducing the price by about 500. After a few days, usually there'll be movement in product. Keep an eye on other people's armor sales, and price it competitively.
In the meantime use this money to invest in harvesters, stockpile resources that pop up and plan for the future. Keep an eye out for the different Ores, Irons and Steels that are necessary for the higher level armors. If you spend a few months gathering you'll be set for when you hit master to make some good high resist stuff.

P.S I'm sorry if these questions have been asked on the boards already somewhere recently.

This is usually true for the customer but you will fin dthat it is actually easier to make composite runs than some of the other "lower level" armors. The reason for this is that Composite only calls for one type of organic component (Wooly Hide) where other armors take quite a few more.
In the long run it costs me more to do a Kinetic Layered Ubese run thana Triple Layered Composite run just due to the organic costs alone.
Composite is more expensive for the soncumer but "cheaper" for the smith IMHO
