I have read through the FAQ, but I am still a littleunclear on some things and thought that you all might be able to explain it to me a little more simply. I am quite new to the game and easily confused

I would like to know how best to care for and protect my armor. For example: I bought some Ubese armor on the advice of a friend. After a while the condition starting going down due to decay (from death and fighting, I suppose?). I asked around and was told to purchase a Repair Tool. I tried to repair it and had a few pieces just plain fall apart.

So my questions are:

1. What are the best practices to protect my armor investment and to extend the life of my armor?

Thank you so much!

1. Always insure your items.
2. Repair is bugged. Master's are supposed to get a bonus on repairing, but that has yet to be proven. As it stands now, you have same chance of repair as a Master would.
3. Try repairing your armor when it hits about 1/2 condition. There are discussions stating that the lower the condition when you repair, the higher the chances of failing...

Hope this helps!

Also try to get the highest rated tool you can, that is the only thing that currently effects repair sucesss rates.

If you are looking to reapir the armor you may want too see if any one you know (guildmates maybe?) have Armor Repair SEA's in a suit. I do repairs (for guildees) in my +15 suit and have FAR fewer total failures then when I didn't have it. I havn't run many tests on this since I don't have an excess of "broken" armor laying around.
