Thread: Brand new master looking for guidance on experimentation

I finally hit master this morning. I had been against the grind, stopping the mabari chestplate madness at 3/0/0/4 to churn out quality Ubese until 4/4/2/4 while gathering resources. Well, with only two boxes left and enough resources to get moving on comp (not to mention that last +2 tape to get me to +10) I ground out those last two boxes.

Now, I have a good supply of great resources, enough to last me though aa good number ofshifts so that a replacement (hopefully) spawns. I'm looking to minimize the amount of my precious resources I consume on messing around with layers and segments, so I'm coming to you all for guidance.

If I'm trying to make triplelayered comp, how does the layer experimentation go? I've heard that with good resources you should hit 80% on triple layered comp (excluding stun) if the special protection of the layer is around 4%. Where do I put the rest of my experimentation points? The HAM or the base? I'm guessing that once I get through the layer things get a bit easier - just experimant on the base and put whatever's left over into the HAM for both the segment and the final assembly. Is that too far off base?

With stun, I'm guessing everyone's just dumping the points on the layer into special protection to get the stun resist up. Again, what's after that? HAM or base on the stun layer?

I really appreciate your help. I know I'll still have quite a few gloves to churn out before I'm happy with my point distribution, but any advice I get here will minimize the amount of resources I consume getting there.
