Don't buy armor with HAMs so high you can't wear it with stat migration unless it's 80% kinetic, and even then that stuff can be made light.
Buy foods that enhance your secondaries.

Yeah if you can get an encumbrance slice it lowers your costs and thus hopefully allows you to wear it without a buff.
I know my wookie armor without being sliced had me at 100-150 on my sub stats, and after I got it slicedthey wereup to 150-200 range, so its always nice if you get it sliced. Other than that, you can keep eating food to keepyour statsup, but that will get expensive.

The other day I got a Dr. buff, put on a full set of composite armor (which I wouldn't have been able to wear otherwise).
I looked cool and did some fighting. I then logged off after not heving removed any armor pieces. When I logged back on a couple of my pieces were off and I couldn't get them on so I guess I'll need another Dr. buff to get them on.
Does anyone have any tips for keeping this excellent armor on with minimum hassle? Any links or advice welcome.

Even if my armor is too heavy, I've never had it removed after logging off with it on. That's strange.
