Thread: Some Aromr Questions
I'm about to switch my template from Master Smuggler/Master Commando/Pistoleer 1001/TKA 4000 to Master Smuggler/Master Pistoleer/CM 4000. I've always used assault armor, but when I switch my template, I'll no longer be able to use assault, and I'll only be able to equip recon.
But I have a few questions about recon armor. If anyone would so kind as to help me with this, it would be much appreciated. 
And yes, I did search the FAQs, but didn't find anything answering my questions.
- What's a good choice for recon armor? I seem to see a lot of people wearing Ubese armor, so I'm assuming that's a good one?
- What types of recon armor can be worn with a cybernetic arm?
- What color options are available?
- But which reconarmors would look best together, and could they have matching colors?
- Would this mixed-and-matched suit of armor still provided decent protection, or would a full suit of Ubese give the highest protection overall?
I know this is a good number of questions, but I'm really not sure when it comes to recon armor what's the best, and whatwould equip with a cybernetic arm. As I said before, I've always used assault, so I never had to worry much about equiping with a cybernetic arm and having the eyes covered, seeing as all assault armor equips with a cybernetic arm and covers the eyes.

I'm trying to get together a suit of armor, that I can wear with cybernetic arm, and has a helmet that covers the eyes (my character always has his eyes covered... for role playing purposes).Ubese has a helmet that covers the eyes, but I'm assuming I can't wear the chestplate/jacket for Ubese armor if I have a cybernetic arm equiped. So, possibly, I should put togeter a suit of armor that has a chestplate that can be equiped with a cybernetic arm, and use an Ubese helmet.

I can't really look at a crafting tool... seeing as I'm not an Armorsmith. If I opened a crafting tool, all I'd be looking at is a blank list.
I'm trying to get a dark blue, maybe some "bright" red pieces, for armor colors.

Ubesetends to bethe easiest armor to make as it the final product takes leathery hide and steel to make, which is why you may see it more often. Not sure what Mabari requires but Tantel needs avian bone which is one of the more rare resources. All the resistant stats will be the same for whichever type of recon armor you get, the condition will change depending on the qualities of the different resources needed for the different armor types.

Tantel chestplates can be worn with cybernetic arms. Mabari and Tantel chestplates can't be worn with cybernetic arms. If you are interested in faction armor both Marine and Scout armor can be worth with cybernetic arms.

I personally really like the look of Ubese armor and my favorite colors are black, dark blue, or dark green. I think that the brown and tan colors also look pretty darn cool. It all depends on the look you're going for. For the most part whatever colors you want should be available.
But which recon armors would look best together, and could they have matching colors?
If you're planning on wearing both ranged cyber arms then the standard thing to wear is a Ubese helmet, Tantel chestplate and then either Ubese or Tantel leg armor.

Mixing and matching all types of Recon armor will be fine to do. The only problem may come in your cyber arms. They have a much lower "armor" rating than you'll find in Recon armor so they may cause you to take more damage than you would wearing a full suit of Recon armor.

So... which can't be worn with a cybernetic arm? You listed Tantel in both yes and no.

Methinks he would LOVE the Marauder Recon if they would ever let us craft it.
Never could figure out why these were in the beta tests, but were never bothered to be put into theArmorsmith schematic list. I mean, if the Devs went to the trouble of keeping the other two suits of Marauder armor available in the game, atleast via the Character Builder Terminals, then why not just add them to the Armorsmith schematics?
I guess it's that Dev logic again...
