Hello armorsmiths of tempest. I've been out of the game for a bit of time and i was wondering if peko feathers were still a needed component. And if so how many would be required for a suit of Ris armor. Thanks for your time.

I think the RIS guide has been updated to explain this, so check it for more detailed info. The skinny is that they can now be used to add a health bonus to any piece of armor (except gloves/boots) during the crafting process. One feather is used per piece, and the bonus it will add is listed when you examine the feather. For a full suit of RIS (or any other armor), you will need 7 feathers.

Yep, feathers are not, and never were, required to make a suit of RIS. They are a requirement for master armorsmiths who are doing the RIS quest, however.

Ah i see, very helpfull information thank you for your input.

Now, say if i happened to have an excess of feathers. how much would an armorsmith be willing to pay? either for 1 or (i would imagine they would want the amount for a full suit ) 8.

Oh also where would i find this RIS guide.

Just a quick note for you Grood, you can't actually see the value of the feather until it is converted into a usable layer when the bonus is revealed. Any feathers looted before the CU will have a bonus of +20. You can usually tell on sight if its preCU because they arent stacked. Unless of course someone unstacked them......

Have you looked at your feathers after this last patch yet?

LOL no actually. I went on a tear one day and converted every feather I could get my hands on so I dont actually have any feathers that arent in layer form

Glad I had that extra 100k stack of Oridium

But thanks for letting me know, now I wont go pay top dollar hoping that I get a good feather. (+11s can take a hike!)

Yes I confirm that heath bonus is shown on feathers' stack now.

Yesterday we were lucky andkilled three birdies in 10mn: +18x7 / +14x6 / +14x8

Btw +18 is the higher bonus I got post-CU (and +11 the lower).
