Thread: Perfect Assault Segment made

Hi all,


Finally got round to doing some crafting using the new 2% buff. My pre buff assault segments were 982. With the buff I have now capped them.




someone clicky it for me and PM me on how to do it please


Also confirmed Tukinas energy layer result on Farstar, experimentation at 99%, layer at 99. Plus, my rcon segments are now 992 and battle are at 987. Need to find better copper and wooly hide for those

No, 6000 is still the base cap. A perfect segment allows a smart smith to experiment higher condition on the core.

thats what I was wondering - if the cap is 6000 then, its basically wasted materials to hit 1000 - not sure of the point besides bragging you hit 1000 on the cores. (I mean good job but so what, I swallowed a goldfish once) course maybe with it you can hit the cap for Condition, if so that will be good news - let us know, but since it seems condition is also based on the finish product resource I doubt your perfect cores matter. I try to use less uber resources and keep the 6000 cap (which is saving me loads of credits, for example I am using polymer with less then 900 oq and still getting cores good enough for perfect no layer). Give me perfect layers and perfect cores with them, then I will be impressed - but, for your time, I congratulate you

mm with perfect segs and energy layers the cap is 8200 for energy right?

No bragging on my part here, all I did was throw the resources together that Farstar has given me as a smith of 2 years standing and thought I would inform the community about the result.


After crunching some more numbers today I have realised thatI can also do this on recon segments now if I choose to divert some of my server best fiberplast (dathomir) althoughI will probably keep that back for cores in lean resource times ahead. I could also do this on battle if I choose to spend a crate on server best wooly hide. I would prefer to save the crates for server best layer resources though


Also, I have made a 1000 segment here, not a core which you seem to suggest. This means I can still reach the cap while using medicore core resources in exactly the same way as you have stated and save money.


My method of amor crafting is to make the best segments I can and skimp on the core resources while still just reaching the cap. Why? because segment resources go further, any benefit at the segment level will be multipled by 3 and core resources are named ones while segment resources are generics. All my cores have stats around 5600-5610 base as anything more that that is wasted resources.


Now I agree with you the holy grail is a perfect layer. Farstar is at 99% energy layer using server best and a 2% buff now. As Tukina said so close


I also calculated that if there were no unlayered caps and I used my very best assault core resources with these 1000 segments I would get an unlayered assault final assembly of 7352K 5352E 6352B. Shame those caps are still in place

You do not need perfect segments to hit 8200, just perfect layers and segments that are just good enough to hit 6000 unlayered.

Aren't we all I have started looking at the resources on the most exotic layers to see if I could make any at 98% excluding buff

miss typed when I said cores, suppose to be segs - my bad - and by no means am I trying to put you down. Yes, I agree it is to bad that they have the caps for unlayered. I have also (not quite that good) made some nice no layer segs here on bloodfin, not even trying to use server best I can get over 960 which is by far good enough for unlayered.
