Sorry if this was already addressed. I tried to do a search, but the dang system is too busy.

I hear many people saying that they want Faction Armor to be on par, if not better than, the best composite out there. Since simply buying such armor would be akin to shooting an Armorsmith in the wallet, I was wondering how the AS community would feel about the idea of experimentation on said armor?

You pop open your Crafting tool and it has a new tab called "Faction Experimentation". You choose the armor piece you wish to experiment on, and add to it various segements and/or layers. Go through the crafting process and then BAM! There you go! New armor with higher stats.

I know that this could take out some of the sales of regular armor - but if there was a way to make it so that you had to be 100% overt whenever wearing the armor (I have seen covert Imps with ST armor on), I think that the need for the good ol' 'neutral' armor will still be there.

In the last Dev-stratics chat they mentioned how they were going to make factional armor, straight from the recruiter, on par with top armorsmith quality armor.

Would be nice if we could craft the factional armor but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime in the near future. Should start seeing more marines and stormtroopers though if the devs make the armor worth investing all the FP's it takes to make a complete suit.

Yeah I am betting they nerf composite to 50% base and raise faction armor to the same level.
