I am +5 armor repair now and want to was it worth using the slots on my suit.

Do they help with degradation or just improve the dice rolls.

Armor repair tapes help in the chance (roll of the dice) that the armor is repaired with minor blemishes.

You might not see a lot of difference of just +5 but if you get +20 or so you will see an improvement.

There is a good difference between 0 and +5. From my experience I went from failing on most repairs to not failing on most repairs. Between +5 and +15 seems somewhat vague though.

We'd need a Dev to explain how it works first.... so I wouldn't hold your breath.

On the positive side, I now have most of my guild trained on repairing their own armor so I don't have to trash my own lovingly constructed suits anymore... just gotta replace the ones they trash

*sad part is they have the same or better luck at it than I do with my pretty +12 armor repair bandolier*

I beleive I'm at something like +8...

I definetely notice a difference. one failure in 2-3 suits, instead of 1-2 failures every suit.

We still need the base skill mod added to the skill tree,

i stand by my they are nto working as are many tapes, a through search of the forums will produce many many threads to back me up on this, i post this thread as just an example, there many rumors, but i trust the source, also there si an attached link in this thread with more info, take look and make up your own mind, i have noticed a lot of funny things people think make a difference, but are rather absurd(low bf etc) anyways the devs have also responded in various ways to this giving diffent answers.. anyways here

Not sure on this. I am +14 atm on repair and I seem to be getting alot more minor blemishes but it could also be that i am attempting repairs alot more often too.

Good post, and I wish I had seen this before I purchased my armor repair tapes. It stands to reason that since 'armor repair' is nonexistent skill and is not given to us in the Armorsmith tree, that an additional skill modifier would do nothing, just as having +20 to dodge will do nothing if you do not have that mod already in some capacity.

I have +11 to armor repair and I see no difference whatsoever when repairing. But if the repair system ever gets fixed/implimented, I am sure it will help.

I also have some shoes with the vague, nebulous, and equally nonexistent 'repair' skill. No, that mod apparently doesn't help either.
