Ok I just need someone to confirm this from live.

Do any of the PSGs including the imperial one have lightsaber resists?

Currently, PSG's in crates have LS resist, sometimes. They supposedly retain that resist for several hours after being pulled from the crate, but they loose LS resists after a bit or logging. Basicly they are rather bugged.

My schematic showed LS resistance on my PSG's but in the crate they didnt show LS resistance so I sent in a CSR ticket asking about this. The CSR responded to me twice, telling me both times that no armor or PSG's have lightsaber resistance and if they show that it is an error.

Originally PSGs were stated to be the only armor that would have it.

However when it went live, they don't after a relog, so yeah, no one knows really. I'm fairly sure they ARE supposed to have it, its just a bug much like the stat shifting was in the past.

I know a QA knows about the issue on test. However they're somewhat reluctant to talk about it, so I've not forced the issue and assume its something the devs are deciding on having in or not.

My only assumption is until the combat revamp is looked at we may not get a solid answer to this.

Probably right. Course that means we will get the answer a year from now.

i reported this to a csr yesterday, because on my vendor the top 2 (crates of 5) said no ls resist but the bottom 18 said they had it...he told me that as of right now, if any psgs state to have lightsaber resist, that is a bug...he said he didnt know what the devs r doing as far as whether itll be fixed by keeping it or eliminating it, but to watch the forums

LOL, come on everyone knows that a shield gen is supposed to be lightsaber resistant. Even in the movies from part I, where obi-one and Qui con said that fighting the droidika's with shield gens would be a stand still. So why not leave it in, it would make it more fair if you could last more than a minute with a jedi if you are not a malee fighter. I am half BH and even when I was a master it was like a living hell to kill jedi's that were high level. I say they should leave it in, cap it at a certain resist and let it fly. My 2 cents worth.

Originally, the devs stated that PSGs would have LS resists... then they changed their mind and said it wasn't supposed to have them... then they were again... then they weren't again...

So, in short, no one knows.

They really aught to have sabre resists, only thing in the game bar cortosis that really would. I mean its an energy device blocking an energy weapon....kinda like a lightsabre parrying another?

Not just that, but (and I hate to be a geek and quote from the movies, especially ones not in the origional holy trilogy) dont jedis have a bit of an issue beating destroyer droids?

If lightsabres were these ethereal weapons of go-through-anything I think luke would have wound down the window on his xwing and held out his sabre whilst flying in ever decreasing circles around the deathstar. Lot safer than that trench malarky. Maybee you can do that in JTLS?

Considering how fragile these things are I don't see the problem with the LS resists them in. This is a premiem item for a Bounty Hunter in that regards. If they remove it, it basically makes it next to impossible for BHs to keep the Jedi population secrative and out of sight.

As I have said before I suspect the reason why we haven't had an answer is the devs want to see how the combat revamp goes before giving us a solid answer. Removing it completely from the PSG is very determental to keeping the jedi population in check.

The other thing to bear in mind having it in makes PvE soloing DJM very possible, I think this is the sticking point to why they're reluctant to put it in. Will try to keep people posted on this if I notice any changes on TC.
