As we know everyone want compostie, which leaves all other armor out in the cold. I have seen new Padded armor on the bazaar for under 4k a peice, and Chitin going for 1 - 2k and mabari going fora silly price like 200c.

1. Padded armor gets more resists and less encumberance and a new style of hemlet.

2. Composite armor gets less resists.

3. Marbal and Tantel should get extra bonus (e.g mask scent +5 etc).

4. New colors for the ubese armor.

5. Tantal should have pants and gloves

6. Compostie and ubese should slow the player down while running.

7. Each armor shouldbe good at one type of resist and player type e.g Padded armor good for Teras kasi (as it lookmore cloth than armor). Tantalgood agaist swords and melee weapons (as it is a old type of armormaybe make in the old days of swordsbattles).

8. Maybe add a boutry hunter armor sort like boba fett wears only for BHs

Composite and ubese should slow the wearer down.

This is the worst idea I have ever heard.

Actually, in the RPG guides, and in the StarWars books it states that Composite is a HEAVY BATTLE ARMOR, and that someone wearing a full suit of this can barely move,at a normal rate...

If this were to happen, composite should be bumped up to a medium or even Heavy armor type, not light.

/agree HEAVILY with ALL of that

esp some kind of nerfage to compo.. lower running speed seems good.

I use compo exclusively almost.. but I would love to be forced out of that.

"worst idea i've ever heard" = "don't take away my totally unbalanced armor!"

I'd add- allow mabari and tantel to reicieve BE mods as per clothing. And perhaps let mabari have some energy defense too. Currently there's no low enc kinetic + energy armor.

2. Composite armor gets less resists.

Oh brillant lets make another type of armor useless....

on my server ubese is the most common armor and effective to wear unless your are doing pvp pve

rarely do u see tantel cause of the low resist and lack of a full set and padded is a joke with the most common type of damages being a vulnerability...

Adv Mabari is good for brawlers however no one makes it because it doesn't yield any credits

Krayt Bone armor is alittle popular... otherwise rarely do i see people every wear it and chitin is just seen as a low lvl or neweb armor...

I would love to see somethings changed to make our armor types more widley used... however everyone is going to make comp because you make the most money off of it...

Besides we need to fix the armor we have ie, tantel, psg, ris before we start revamping the whole skill. I have been a master ar since alittle arfter launch and the fact that tantel and psg's are still broken is ridiculous.

Nerfing composite and ubese isn't how we should go about making the other armor types more popular.

how about just lowering the encumberence of padded.

tantal gives energy resist (low lvl energy resist earlie), but how about some advanced tantal?

The way the devs see it some type of armor has to be the best. With that mindset everything else turns into a step on the road to making composite. What should happen is that each armor should have advantages and disadvantages. This would be really easy to do with the vulnerabilities and special protection. But they just don't do it.

I don't understand why ubese should slow someone down. It appears to be a light armor.

Comp though, i've always wondered why it does not slow you down. It seems very heavy.

I like the slowdown option. That has a double benefit. Kiting melee professions will be more difficult, as the melee folks will run faster, but they will only run faster if they aren't wearing composite.

This all falls apart when the melee professions die while advancing on the composite ranged professions, so everyone will then return to using composite and moving the same speed. The problem remains that composite has the best restists across the board, and that's what PvP players value the most.
