Thread: Is there a formular to pricing armor?
I have an easy pricing scheme. I place armor in my vendor at a price that I make a profit at (taking a loss is a *bad* idea). If it sells too fast I must be undercharging and I raise the price till it sells at the rate I want it to. If people buy it at all they must think the price is fair.
Pretty easy, no formula required.
I agree that pricing it based on how fast it sells is the best advice. Start at one end of the spectrum and either raise or lower the price to the point where it sells at a pace you like.
As for pricing individual pieces I find that setting a per segment amount is a good way to keep my sanity. For example, I price my Ubese at 4K per segment used. I set a min standard (at least one socket and all great success) and I don't adjust the pricing for number of sockets or small varaitions in resists. If someone gets to my vendor first and gets the 70% kinetic / 4 socket jacket before the guy that buys the 67% kinetic / 1 socket jacket for the same price, then more power to them.
