Aside from the combat professions, I never thought you guys would get screwed due to the combat downgrade. I'm truly sorry for what they are about to do to you guys, from what they are about to do to all of us. When they did the copy and paste code from EQ2 to SWG they did not forsee this happening. I saw screw it, keep revolting and let your voices be heard. We want our game back, not this crap that they are trying to give us.

you obviously haven't read anything thats been recently posted about the exp system in the CU and how effective armor is in the CU now. You should inform your ignorant self because we're all seeing there will be no variety besides appearance. Atleast no more than we currently have.

Oh i know but you must ask yourself ( and ofcourse this is the reason everyone wears compsite now) if i had to choose between two or more different types of armor but there is always 1 type of armor that is more effective than all others then everyone will grind to be cert'd for that spacific armor and you see...the problem is not solved. Before you jump on me for being ignorant maybe you should enlighten yourself to think how the developers are thinking. don't be childish.

You obviously haven't tested PSG's to make a statement like that. Have you ever crafted a PSG?
Diversity in Everyone? Kinda, sure the skins will be different, but the stats on the armor will all be the same or fairly close to one another.
Saying MAS are "clones" at making composite is actually pretty far off. With how layering works in the armor, there were a huge variety of "flavors" to make in composite.
When making statements about MAS at least be a MAS.

This isn't about armor variety, this is about inherent armor functionality and the crafting process behind it.
I recommend you read more threads in this forum before commenting further.

You've opened yourself up for attack, so don't be surprised when you're attacked. I know the point you're trying to make, so I'll try to develop your idea a little further.
No one is saying the combat upgrade is a bad idea, it can be good for the game. However, the execution of the combat upgrade has left lots to be desired. The communication has deteriorated to the point there is distrust between the development group and the players. It's a combat upgrade, not a crafting upgrade. You're arguing a point of functionality which no one is against. It's the path that we use to get to that end that was needlessly changed. I say needlessly because so far there has been no reason identified. If there was open honest communication about what's going on then we could all guide each other.
The devs could add their expertise and their vision which is in part shaped by our experience using the system and our vision of fixes and corrections to bring it all together. That's what's missing here, and now you have a situation where they aren't saying anything and to be quite honest, I'm not sure we're ready to listen. The sad thing is most of us feel the only voice we have left is to cancel accounts. That isn't the way it should be.
