Thread: An idea on the whole bring a bodyguard and still get one shotted thing

how about a crafter mitigation and armor cert.... it would make sense that a person who specializes in protective armor would be able to make their own protective suit...
we dont need anything fancy...just some form of protection... maybe have a specialized crafter core.... so only crafters are certed for it.... and maybe even crafter health bonuses?
nothing too outrageous.. jsut soemthign that will allow most crafters to at least be partially safe standing on their front porch ... we wouldnt expect it to be tanking armor of course.. but just soemthign that allows us to have a chance at running away before we get shot for 3500 damage from a meatlump

As a crafter id have to say it would be more effective to bring a Battle droid....
My Probot with a pre-CURB combat rating in the 500s (on BRIA)
Converted to a Level 18 pet.
oh no i said Level......
At least the Droid Engineers will have something to sell they lost half there droid uses....
(FYI... My 1st elite prof was with Lordspam)

Fixing is not on there to-do list come on this is america right?? Fix ?? why fix?? throw away and make new.. New is always better right?? Maybe SOE should go talk to the people at coke and find out what happened to that markerter that came up with that one.

Sorry to let you know this, but currently droids don't work. They refuse to attack mobs too many "levels" above the owner - like 7. As in a spineflap.
Also, when set on /Guard, when the owner is attacked - they .. um. They kind of do nothing in particular. Sort of - not guarding kind of activity. But they do make "thrummmm" sounds.
Just an FYI from your neighborhood clinically depressed Droid Engineer.

I have never said this before, but this is the 1 nerf that could make me quit. I'll take whatever they end up handing us with the AS nerf, but if I can't survey, I can't play. It's that simple. It's not that I'm unwilling to buy my resources, but I actually enjoy surveying and collecting resources.
