Those are all good points you make Ebepp. However, if I where to play the devils advocate, could this be interpretid as they are focussing on one area alone now in testing ? (combat). If yes, could it then be they would focus on other areas (crafting) at a later time in the testing ?
I hope i am right, tho i dont think so.
Good post, with good observations!

I don't believe so, based solely on the comments of the few bits of communication we've had. The answer to each of our crafting concerns has been that everyone is happy with the combat upgrade based on the results of the polls. The polls however don't address crafting.
Let's assume you're right though and there is some overhaul to crafting coming in the future. It would depend on what you believed. If you believe what I do that the armor crafting system was changed to fit the new functionality of armor (not going to debate how much I believe the change was needed *sigh*), then an overhaul of the crafting system would only result in minor changes. So it's make your stand now or forever hold your piece. If you believe the armor crafting system was changed just to change it, then why bother with the change in the first place to overhaul it again in 3 months, so make your stand now or forever hold your piece.

as they have repeateable said crafting is not in the scope of the CU
Since AS, WS, Doctor, BE and Chef (at least) have been completely changed in this upgrade, I'd say crafting is most certainly within the scope of the CU.
What they may have meant to say was, "We won't be paying any attention to the crafting community during testing and launch of the CU". ![]()

tack on implementing and designing and you may be onto something.
