Thread: Why no styles of armor?

Ships have a style 1 or 2 at a min. Why can't are armor have a few choices?
I know the combat upgrade will change things as far as armor goes, but even still how about a few versions of our armor for just a visual difference?
What do all of you think.

More styles would be nice to have, as a customer.
Its enough as it now with all the types of armor, from a armorsmiths point of view.
Some sort of faction armor would be nice to see though. Also some more clothing like armor.

I think with armor customization and coloring are some of the biggest desires concerning both customers and crafters. The color bug on composite is popular for a reason. People like to be able to make it look different. It would be great if there were at least different chest plates and helmets for composite.
Something similar to pattern like starships would also be cool. Possibly being able to place a factional emblem on the armor would also be nice. As well as a rank symbol. I mean you know who to salute then right? LOL.
As far as factional armor goes if they made it craftable more people would wear it. We would see stormtroopers instead of composite imperials. And lets face it rebel armor looks just plain idiotic. First of all did we ever see rebels wear anything like it? Usually they wore something like a blast vest. But in the interest of a fair game, not necassarily the exact star wars universe, the rebs will and should have something similar to trooper armor. But my lord why does it look like it has bat wings? Why would you design a suit that bulky? Im mostly talking from the player who looks at the suit and says " I wouldnt be caught dead wearing something that ugly!". Lets face it, one of the main reasons people own the armor beside protection is they want to stand out and look cool.
Problem is none of the choices that provide great protection have much variation in color or if in color then in style or appearance.
Personally I wear padded armor. One because i can make it myself : ) and two because I can color it in so many different ways and stand out as an individual. But saying all that, its just my opinion. For what its worth thats how I feel.
