Thread: Faction Armour Costs (To Us)
That's awesome.
I really don't see the point of bio-linking, they should just take it out all together...heheh
AsternMadkatz wrote:Hiya folks,I more or less curious if anyone has or will do anything about getting the faction system at least looked at with regards to getting faction armour and specifically bio-linking it.I'm somewhat ok with the cost of the schematics (prices varying because of planetary control is alright)...but my main concern is the 700 faction point cost JUST to wear the dang armour. It's bad enough that we have to spend upwards of twenty-seven THOUSAND faction points just to get the armour, but if we want to wear it we need an additional 700...getting faction points these days is ridiculous and quite frankly I don't (and I would imagine a lot of other people) don't have that kind of patients and credits to get all those points.Sure all the rich AS's can make the armour, but what about the little people. I wouldn't consider my self the best AS, considering my bank account has never seen over 10 million credits, but I want to be able to make faction armour for my guild and have them able to wear it.So in short, I guess I would like to know if this will be changed...or even looked at. I figure that we will get the "it's going to stay like this so deal with it answer", but a AS can dream right? Thanks and lets see this get changed...
Do you have JTL? I've been told you can get pretty good FP up there. I've been working on getting 3322 in order to find out.
I do actually have JTL, my guild mate suggested that I should do that.
I am a 3322 pilot ATM, but a tier 1 ship will give you about 2-5 FP, tier 2 give about 4-8 and a tier 3 I managed to get 14 out of.
It's better than running missions, as I got more than a hundred FP in less than half an hour vs. 12 doing a level 50 mission on the ground.
More faction points need to be rewarded so we can make this armour cheaper.
I feel the FP costs for faction armor is just daggone re--di-cu-lous!!!
The CURB had announced new faction armor as a big selling point, imagine my suprise when I went to make aromor <cost was 18K FP> and then gave a experimaental set to my ALT <cost to bio link 7K FP> !!!
This is patently (I repeat) ridiculous! We are being put in a position of asking people to lay out a significant amount of credits and wont htey be suprised when they cant wear it!
This means the poor AS needs to spend on average ABOUT 2 million credits to get a complete set of schematics for 10 uses. So that means each set of armor should be sold at a minimum of 250K for break even....
Then the purchaser needs to come up with an additional 7K of FP just to wear it!
I am not impressed.... And people should be aware there is a FP cost to bio-link, there is nothing said about this in the CURB notes...
BTW whats the going rate on reb recon armor? :-)
there are plenty of AS that are up in arms about the costs. My advice? spend the cash, get the schematics, make the armor.
There are hardly any rebel AS on valcyn atm and my brother and I (I craft on his toon) charge 3 mill per suit. There just isn't very many people out there making it. We are on our third set of schematics (already sold 20 of each set, so 60 suits total). You do the math on that and tell me the 2mill for schematics isn't worth it.
Thanks for the input :-)
Personally I am not complaining about the cost of the armor schematics per se <although it is too high by a factor of 10>.
Its the player FP costs to bio-link that is really out of whack.
It was my impression hte armor was supposed to be availible to the masses BUT requiring a player lay out a cool 3 million credits for a set of armor seems to be... ummm... elitist.... This is not what the DEVs were advertising, unless I missed something.
The armor SHOULD cost the same as similiar armor with a little "extra" for hte cool look, butthis is impossible with the high costs related to theFP's both to buy and wear the suits.
I can charge the 3 mil butI wonder how many peole are willing to pay that premium....
My 2 1/2 cents.
