Thread: Anyone else have their armor's hinderance increase after Pub17?
the hinderance is
movement: -1.2%
accuracy -2.5%
rate of fire -3.7%
on both bracers, helmet, and chest
How bad does this affect me?

actually ya i did..now that you mention it
It is a bug where the stats on sliced armor don't show up for a day. So you had hindrances, you just didn't know it. Slicing armor not only increases the resists but also increases the hindrances. So you have to consider your role when slicing good armor. Tanks I would say should always slice, damage dealers I would think not mostly because of the RoF penalty.

The hinderances are percentage reductions on the listed abilities so its fairly straightforward to work it out. Hold your weapon of choice and use ctrl c to see your speed and accuracy and then apply the reductions to calculate the impact.
As an example, if you assume you have 100 accuracy, 100 speed with your weapon of choice then accuracy -2.5% will reduce that by 2.5 and rate of fire -3.7% will reduce speed by 3.7. If you have 200 accuracy then the impact is 1.25 points of accuracy.
For movement, you will move just over 1 hundredth slower. If you are not capped on TN, then add a point or 2 from tapes to correct this. Overall the effect of these sort of hinderances is very minor if you have a dual elite template with some scout.
