Thread: What stats should focus on for kinetic layers ?
I used to do the same exact thing as you when I was new. You are putting to much experimentation into the 3rd of your layers. Put it all in the second, & then the rest in the first row if you get an amazing success.
My layers are 4% Base 4% Kinetic & I hit 80% kinetic 71% base.
If you dont have great resources and are wanting 80% comp to hell with the HAM, try one Max kinetic like 2 base, 14 kinetic, and 2 other layers 3 base, 4 kinetic. that should feth you a segment with 26 base, 24 kinteic.
If you do have great resources by all means try for 4 base, 4 kintic.
If its lower HAM you're after and high base try Electrical layers.
My advice... and this is what I did when I became a new smith. Play around with experimenting making gloves using all kinds of different layers and segments. you can record your results with /notes These would not be for selling, but for determining what numbers you might want to hit on your layers and segments to make pieces that you are after.
Good Luck, it's a steep learning curve. One that I am only half way up.
I can`t seem to pull it off.
I tried with 4/4 kinetic layers and was only getting 60% kinetic and 48& base.
Advenced Segments.
Kirium Steel stats are in my first post only an OQ of 230,SR 568.
Colat Iron are 413 OQ and SR of 730.
Polymer stats are all in 800.
For the kinetic I use all high OQ mineral 800 + on most of them.
Amphorous Gemstone is OQ of 930, mineral I have either Iron(900 OQ) or steel(879 OQ).
Using either I usually only get around 60 - 70% kinetic armor and very rares get over 51% base.
I don`t planning in giving up AS for while as it a professions I really enjoy doing.
All I need is for some nice Kirium Steel to spawn and I should be set :-)
Actually, with the resources you mention, I think you should be able to make 28% base / 14% kinetic segments. With good resources for the final step this could give you armor with approximately 79% kinetic and 65% base resist. So thats where the real problem lies in my opinion: the stats of your resources for making the armor (i.e., wooly hide, aluminum, nabooian fiberplast etc.) are not good enough.
