I've got a question about getting a piece of armor to put an attachment in that will last as long as possible. I'm thinking of going with gloves or boots since those zones don't get hit that often. After reading the faq, it seems that the damage the armor takes is kind of a trade off in some ways, and was hoping some of your experts out there could help clarify. I read that the damage that gets through is what hits the armor condition, with an armor specific multiplier factored in as well. If the armor has no protection against a certain type, will it take full damage as 100% of the damage bypasses the armor, or will it take no damage as the armor is ignored in factoring damage taken? What kind of armor has the lowest damage taken multiplier?
As I have the armorsmith design the armor, should I ask him to put points into the resists to cut down on damage that gets through, (and thus that the armor takes), or is it better for the overall longevity of the armor to have him boost durability primarily?
On the armor, I don't care about it actually stopping damage as much as lasting a very long time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Get and Ubese shirt of bandoleer, they are armor but don't stop damage so they don't decay.
