Armor repair has been a huge thorn in my side for some time now, I refuse to wear my armorsmith tag and keep as low a profile as possible to avoid repairs for anyone outside of my guild. Not because I'm mean or anything
, but simply because of the results of the "repair" system (a system I have yet to see a Dev even try to explain).
Armor is faced with "decay from use" and also suffers "death penalty" (unlike weapons). Now let me share a fraction of the info I have collected from my repair experiences and show you the nasty, brutal beating armor takes at the hands of it's creators... meet the Armorer/Guide for this little trip

give me some edge

In several instances in the above suits, and in other pieces done, the initial amout of damage was actually less than the damage done by my "repair". The initial amount of damageson pieces in these examples varied from "barely a scratch" to as heavy as 90% damaged but none of that seems to have any direct relation to repair success/cond damage.
I fully agree there should be decay on armor... but I don't like the fact that, as a Master Armorer, I an far more of a threat to the armor than any of the critters/people that are trying to kill my client. The bulk of repair attempts are "marginal" and "repaired w/ max cond loss" which means most repairs are a 20-30% condition hit, 10-15% of all repairs are total Failures... now that'll 'harsh the buzz' you get from making that masterpiece enhanced super suit...
Now if I could just find a Dev brave enough to explain the "system" to me... I'd be gald to share my big spreadsheet of info showing the extent of the brutality

Thanks for the numbers.
Maybe this will help some understand why I refuse to repair armor that's not at or below 50% condition.

Heh, really hurts when your repair takes the armor down lower than the original damage ![]()

which is why you shouldn't repair armor unless it's near or under the 50% range, hehe
