Thread: Question about RIS, not a FAQ type of question

I know this can be server specific, but a general idea would be helpful. How much you charge someone to make them a full suit of RIS if they provided all the resources and loot components? What if they only provided the loot components and you provided the harvested resources?

If they're not looking to use an interwoven segment and are okay with basic crafted layers or base loot layers / enhancements, I do it for free. I've only done three pieces for customers though, so I can't really say I wouldn't charge anything for a full suit all at once.

Piece by piece though, I recommend doing for free if it doesn't cost you much. The practice is invaluble when it comes time to craft your own stuff, or when you need to predict the results for a very high end piece (like the helmet I made for a customer with a 30% base Nightsister layer).

Look at your RIS customers as a chance to learn, not a chance to make some money.

You had a 30% NS layer?

If you had more than one, you could make a piece of 100% base RIS armor. If you go above 80 or 90 before experimentation, you can go up to 100% base without even slicing it. Still no stun or acid protection, but you could easily get 80% kinetic, since you wouldn't need to put any points into base.

I hope you didn't use all those layers up.

I'm going to say this once, and once only:

This is a company, one that is out to make money, so banning people who hadn't done anything wrong would be really dumb since it would mean that we would be losing money. So before you just believe someone who says they are being wrongfully punished take a moment and reflect.

Also, ranting/flaming and attacking customer service isn't going to fly on these boards so any further posts about it will result in the suspension of that person's forum account.

Max base before experimentation is capped at 80%. Slicing is capped at 90%. 100% is no longer possible, player crafted.
