Hey there all. New to the armorsmith forums, but just recently bought a -belt- that is pretty awesome from one of the best armorsmiths on shadowfire. But, the problem is that I am a wookiee. And because of that, and the fact that this -belt- is listed as a piece of padded armor, I am unable to wear it.
Has there been any discussion to how stupid this is? Regardless of it being padded armor or whatever, if it is a belt, anyone should be able to wear it. Especially since I, as a wookiee, can use/wear psgs and normal tailored belts.
I bought it for the main reason that as it is now.. wookiees have zero places to stick decent AA and I didnt realize at the time that it counted as padded armor. Gruelokk has said I can sell it back to him, but it is an amazing piece of armor that realistically -- by the way the rest of the game works -- I SHOULD be able to use. Yet can't.
Soooo. Has this ever come up before? I looked through a few pages and didn't see anything related -- but I might have missed something. Can a correspondent or DEV give me a comment (doubtful)? can this be passed on as a request for a future fix?
Grrr. I accept as a wookiee I wasn't going to get anything but limited armor -- if that. But it is a -belt-. I mean come on. Give a wookiee a break.
edited: oh. just for the record, I don't want these belts removed from armorsmiths or changed in terms of effectiveness, etc. I just would like them to not have the racial restrictions against wookiees wearing them, since it makes absolutely no sense as to why a wookiee wouldn't be able to wear them.

In my opinion they are allready counting as clothing, since we can't experiment on them during creation. So this is clearly an artissue along the same line of certain helms not fitting all non-human races.
I do however agree that it is stupid to have encumbrance, resists and condition on an item that is not supposed to be a hitlocation anymore. Removal of theese and perhaps also all the specific resources needed to make one would make it a bit more useful. Then convince the artdepartment to adapt it to all races, just a question of scaleing really.
