Thread: Confusion : Will quality matter?

Can anyone unravel my confusion please?
I have seen posts by Armoursmiths who complain that quality resources will no longer matter or be necessary after the CU. I have seen other posts that seem to suggest that quality will still be just as vital.
Can anyone confirm or refute this?
Will quality resources still be as important? Less important? Unimportant?
If so, will it still be mainly SR and OQ that matter?

in fact... quality of resources is the only thing that matters, however...
Of course... really... the devs are all nihilists, so nothing matters. Not player satisfaction, not game continuity, not Starwars Canon, nothing...

Aye. For now resource quality will the the ONLY thing that matters in armorsmithing now it seems. It's turning into just like one of my chef friends have said. Input crap, Get out a piece of crap. (in reference to crafting systems like guildwars where components have no stats. You just dump in the required components and get out armor with generic stats)
EDIT: Though as I said. For now. Stats will matter. But experimentation is almost a waste of time now it seems.

No, quality will not matter one little bit. At least not in PvE. Why? Because if you attempt to kill something more than just a few levels above you, it won't matter if you're wearing a Cloak of God, you'll get killed in one or two hits. And if you are attacking something your level or lower, you don't need armor. So no, quality doesn't matter anymore, because armor has effectively been removed from the game.
