Just browseing the boards... is expermintation gone after the CU for armor? I was going to pick up AS and invested a huge amount of credits over the last few months in AS exp. points. Am I screwd?

It's in the major problems list for the CU. Yes as of now it has gone to waste unless you like high condition armor.

in a word.... yup
experimentation is down to one bar on everything nowwhich even a 10pt newbie can get with ease

One minor upside though is that high condition armor may become a selling point soon given how quickly armor seems to burn out in TC

they basically switched experimentaiton with weaponsmiths.. they get multiple useful lines.. we get only 1...
as it is now.. we get 3 useful lines... and they get only 1

aye.. i will.. however.. I'm not very optimistic about it.. every crafting board I go to is pissed off. I've been trying to find something besides Doc for my crafter since doc's are going to be pretty useless after the CU. I spent about 30 mill on my doc suit, found out it would be useless after the CU, so i started buying armor exp... ouch.. big mistake there as well I guess ![]()

Well things like PSGs still have 3 experimentation lines. So there are some areas a 12pt AS will have an edge over a 10pt anyway. but considering how useless PSGs appear to be. That's an overall moot point anyway.

there are sometimes 2 lines, condition and resists.
layers have 1 line, resists
segments have 2 lines i believe, could be mistaken
cores have 2 lines
appearance has 1 line, condition

Well thats kinda true but not really. All good Imp PSGs were usually experimented with high energy (special) or high stun/LS (base), with the remaining going to durability. So PSGs now will have same stats but 12pters will have a bit more durability. /shrug

Condition really means nothing at this point and it doesnt even show a condition on the sub componets anyway, the most important place for condition is on the skin itself. Even then when you have only 1 line you cant use all 10 point to begin with and when you have the condition line, who knows what it actually does since it shows nothing.

One idea on this: Even with only one line, couldn't they just scale it such that with very good resources ONLY a 12pt smith can fill all the boxes? And even then only with at least one amazing?
That would give even the FS crafters an edge.
