Thread: Armorsmith/Tailor?
My original plan was to be a Smuggler/Armorsmith. Upon finding out that the armorsmith relies a lot on tailors, I decided to get rid of some of my extra skills to throw in some tailoring stuff.
My question is... If I'm a tailor with Field II, is that enough to be able to make most armor on my own?
If not, what other Tailor skills are needed?
Fieldwear II will get you the reinforced panals. You will already have synthetic cloth from novice tailor. So that should be all you need out of tailoring.

yes tailor 0200 will be enough for the majority of components, however if you ever plan to make any wookiee armor you will need 0300 for the armor padding. Also unlike pre-CU where the padding stats mattered, now they do not. Personally all I use is recycled hide, and crap wooly for my organics, and whatever other grinding materials I have lying around to finish it off. Personally I feel its definately worth it to go to that level, even if you think you won't be making it immediately. Not like its any harder that any other armor now.
