What do I do with and what good are Night Sister Shard's? I've been asked and been asking that question myself, for some time now. My fellow guild members (especially Lizzard) have been kind enough to flood me with low-high quality shards. Wife's been out of town and it's given me time to answer the question.

A big lesson learned first. BE CAREFUL. It takes good planning to ensure you get the most out of your shards. I ended up making extra gloves where I could have made other, more important pieces.

What I started with

# Shards - HAM decrease

1) 3 - -14/-16/-19

2) 5 - -14/-20/-27

3) 7 - -14/-20/-11

4) 7 - -16/-18/-12

5) 6 - -16/-11/-20

6) 6 - -10/-19/-12

I chose to make High Kinetic, Low HAM, moderate Base Composite Armor.

I made kinetic layers focusing on decreasing HAM and then on Base. The klayers came out - Base 2% - HAM 5/5/5 Kinetic 6%.

I then made the Advanced Composite Armor Sements, concentrating on Base and then Integrity, the results of which were:

1) base 27% - HAM 13/11/11 Elec 8% Kin 20%

2) base 27 - HAM 13/7/2 8 20

3) base 27 - HAM 13/7/18 8 20

4) base 25 - HAM 11/9/18 8 20

5) base 27 - HAM 11/16/9 8 20

6) base 27 - HAM 17/8/17 8 20

I used the ACASs to make the following:

1) Right Bicep

2) Helmet

Gloves

3) Pants

Pants

4) Chest

Boots crit fail

5) Left Bicep

Boots

Gloves, crit fail

6) Right Bracer

Left Bracer

Gloves

Keep in mind that you want to allocate the strengths of the individual shards to the right piece of armor.

Helmet Mind
Chest Health Action
Pants Action Health

The final results came out:

I'm very interested in any and all feedback. Particulary your experiences with other loot types. Night Sister Armor Layers, Janta Hides, Klicknik Shells, et. al.

Hi Glynn,

Nice post, very thorough.

I do the same thing with my 80% Kinetic 60% Base stuff and like you I also use shards with a particular strength on the rellavant pieces. My layers are always 1/1/1 6% Kinetic with any spare points to base effect. These suits are easily wearable unsliced and unbuffed by most species. I'll look into combined HAMs later when the server is back up.

At any given time I usually have a couple of NS Suits in stock and they do sell pretty quickly. Its funny though, I get a lot of tells from customers saying theyre scared to break their armour

I also use Janta Hides and Rancor Hides in my Heavy 38% stun armour for a little extra base.

What I do with my NS layers is to make twin stun layered suits, I also chuck a janta hide in for good measure, they come out at 74%+ base with 25% stun and a bit less encumbrance its very popular stuff, as soon as i load it onto the vendor it's sold pretty quickly.

Keep it up dude thats some nice stuff you have there.
