I'm really tired of looking at composite and ubesearmor. No offense to you hard working armorsmiths, of course! I'd just like to wear something a bit different. I really like the look of padded armor, and I think I've pretty much settled on that. My question is, if I want very low HAM's on this armor, what sort of base protections would I be looking at? Part two is, if I wanted to have kinetic and energy protection moved to the special protection portion of the armor, what sort of resists would I be looking at, and would it be better to have the armorsmith put experimentation into reducing the HAM for the layers, the suit, or both? I've never crafted armor beyond bone, so forgive my ignorance if some of this doesn't make any sense, or if my understanding of armorsmithing is imperfect. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

With good resources and layers, segments and armoroptimized with respect to HAM, I would say your base resist will be around 25-30%. With two kinetic layers, your kinetic resist may reach 35-40%. Reducing the HAM of the layersshould havethe largest effect as each segment takes two layers. Whether and to what extent you want to reduce the HAM on layers, segments and armor depends on how much resist you want to sacrifice. With high HAM, resists around 75% kinetic and 45% base are possblie.

With good resources, I turn out padded that is 47% base and 62% kinetic special. These use two 7% kinetic layers that are 2/2/2 HAM - the full suit HAM is thus around the 350-400 mark. This has been the most popular combination among its target audience; ie. dancers who want to look good while wearing protection that is at least in ubese standards. Since they want to wear it as a fashion product, HAM is important - they want to be able to wear it unbuffed for sure.

Hello All,

Right now I plan on going for Master Swordsman and Bounty Hunter 4/0/4/4. I'd get more BH skills, but that workout only leaves me with four skill points. Anyway, heres my question: As the way the game functions now, would it be worth acquiring Master Bounty Hunter and changing to Swordsman 4/4/0/4? I ask because I have already been a Master Swordsman, and was a Novice Bounty Hunter around mid-December, but gave it up because I didn't know what I was doing. I've been offline on my computer that can play Star Wars Galaxies for the last month so I really don't know about the changes save from reading the forums. Thank you all for any advice given.
