Well looking to see if RIS is worth all the effort and time that you put into it. I been at it for a week an manage to collect 4 RGH and 3 bone fragements. I been to both spots where the gurk king spawns and only was able to get one spawn a day. Haven't tried the GDK, but what i'm reading getting the scales are rare. SO is there armor worth it, what so specail about this armor that making all the meterails you need to collect so hard to obtain? Have answers please post.

by the way not an armorsimth,but someone that would like to get some RIS and don't have 50mill to buy a suit.

GDK scales.. rare.. you ain't kiddin..

I have been trying to complete the quest since it came out, managed to get all the other ingredients except the GDK scale. since people have made the suit I know it's not impossible to complete I just have no clue where to look.

GDK at Kimo Town doesn't drop for some ridiculous reason so you have to find a wild/random spawn..

RIS quest and set completed on 6-12-04,

Don't camp the static spawns, look for the dynamic ones.

Same for gurk king.

There are specific lairs that will spawn a king when the lair is about to explode...

I ask myself that same question honestly, part of me says yes,part of me says heeeeell no. I went through alot of trouble hunting down the peko peko feather, gurk hide, and woolamander fragment (its insane how many people camp that place) got the minerals finally, got happy as hell to make the parts, get to the NPC and BOOM. he keeps the parts. and now I gotta hunt down a GDKS to make the boots just to odds are see the guy keep those too, and start allll over again. but then I think about how good the armor will be in the end and try to comfort myself w/ the thought of maybe someday being one of the few AS that made a suit lmao

I dont know about the "uber leet" thing but Id say if you feel like its work then dont do it its a game but, on the other hand I got a piece (helmet) made yseterday and its sweet. I didnt use a acklay interwoven schematic or anything but it still truned out pretty good. 72% kinetic and 52% on the rest with stun vulnerability and people with the interwoven have crafted RIS with pretty close to composit stats so yes if you wee inclined it would be fine for PVP or PVE. And it is supposed to be one of the 2 armors that will hve lightsaber protection (mine doesnt?) Not that i have any intention of wearing it in combat. Its just something that is rare in the game and nice to have.

I say yes... but not right now. I am waiting until after the armor nerf to see if RIS gets some much needed help from the devs. IE: some vulnerabilities plugged or Lightsaber resists...

Got enough components to make 3 RIS sets now.... just waiting....

First complete RIS set made for myself on Aug 1, 2004 with stats of approx 75% Kinetic/4% Stun/5% Acid/65% Base/vuln to Lightsaber. (unsliced)
