Thread: Composite HAM costs

I was just wondering what people were getting.

I recently made a pair of 80% Kinetic gloves with 66% Base and the HAM was something like51/49/52.

The Kinetic segments were 5/5/5 on the HAM (as low as I can get with my resources). I'm a 10pt AS and I put 7 ptsinto the HAM and 3 into the base (I can get 3% Base with an amazing success). I'll try to put all into the HAM tonight and the left over into the base to see if it makes a HAM difference... but does HAM "stack" even it only goes to 5/5/5 with a few more exp in it? Like kinetic with extra .3% that we don't see?

Inheavier kinetic layers, I max out the middle with 9 pts and put 1pt into HAMand get14/14/14 (with amazing success).

I could go a few lower on HAM when I experiment on the segment, but I would have to up the Kinetic resistance vice the base. I've done a 80% Kinetic 57% Base set, but the HAM cost only lowers another few points.

I was wondering how much of a difference the 1/1/1 kinetic layers make on the final product before I try to acquire some different resources.

I know resources vary from server to server, but it should be the same in general, right?

I'm on the Tempest server by the way.

I'll mess around with it later, I'm just bored and at work... and curious.

I make 1/1/1 Layers for my Low Enc suits that is 80% kin and 66% base Enc on glove is 32/30/33 total suit Enc is 503/440/514

but 12pt smith helps with it a lot and very good resourses also

and yes the ham of the layers do stack and also have digets behind the coma 1,3 can it be dont now how to calculate but I made different layer schematics and they have different outcomes on the segment Enc without experimenting on it so there is some invicible room to play with

I don't think it had anything to do with what you posted at all really. Since I noticed at one point that a lot of threads that didn't used to have star ratings suddenly popped up with 1 stars.

Should I never seek help of any kind from my fellow AS?
Yes, of course you should seek help from us - that's what we're here for . You're only stupid if you don't ask questions. A wise man once said: "He who asks a question is a fool for a moment, he who doesn't is a fool for life..." - Caveat: Don't ask questions that have already been answered in stickies etc.

Is asking for help or giving help frowned upon?
Only by those with nothing useful to say (or if you ask redundant questions etc. without first making an effort to find info first)

Isn't that what this forum is for?
Yes.

I noticed that too... maybe that's all it is?

Yes.

These were more or less rhetorical questions... it just bugged me to get a 1 star rating. I like to think that I research things pretty well on the forums before I ask a question and especially before I post a new topic. And I do my best to thank people that take the time to answer my questions in some constructive way. Thanks for the feed back.
