First i'd like to say i'm very much agenst the whole Jedi exploiting thingie because i think since Jedi are suppose to be a long term commitment rahter then just something to grind to 4 4 4 4 in guardian and wait for them to fix the apprentice points.

But my question is that i got a friend/guildie who i know have been useing the surverying and mind healing on a roof top and i've been very tempting to report him because i have have reported a few Jedi who do that not because i wanna kill, simply because i think its wrong. And not wrong in the way that i think all exploits should be banned just the Jedi ones because its a experiance, and i've been grinding and grinding and still haven't unlocked him and if/when i do i wouldn't wanna do anything to shorten my road to Jedi Knight.

But do i report him or just let it slip by? If i let it slip then i got adouble standart which isn't fair, and if i do report him then i'm a backstabbing slimeball that no one would trust and yes i have tried to talk with him but he seems kinda closed on that subject.

I wonder what others would do in those cases?

try minding your own business and worry about your own character. And no, I don't afk grind my jedi... but care less what other people do in this game. Spend less time being teh hall monitor. Nobody likes the hall monitor.

If facinates me how people care so much about what other people are doing.

first of all.. try to mind your own business... if u really think what other ppl do affect your own business then talk with him about it.. .explain that he is really afecting you. and you will report him..

...i bet that when he is banned and cant play his jedi he will understand that after all you are your friend even if you report him to be banned.

hmm interesting replies i must say... aproving of exploting well say i'd wanna kill him or another person? but since he is exploting and i cannot get to him or attack him.

Hall monitoring...hmm who really cares about that i mean if somebody does stuff they aren't suppose to then you report them don't you? You don't just say: Hey! somebody just stole my car but hey i'll just mind my own business.

To me doing those things just screams cheating but if if you all like cheating then why not just ask the devs for a /god and /noclip command?

I must say the replies i've gotten so far are VERY disturbing and i surely hope i'm not the only one who finds that or i wouldn't trust anyone in this game with a plastic knife..

Uhh if someone stole your car that WOULD be your business.

Someone doing something that has no affect to you is NOT your business.

Thats what they mean and I agree.

First off anyone that roof macros is only cheating themselvs...its the slowest way to grind and its only benifit is you can do it while afk...

I am against all the AFK playing in this game its wrong ! people that camp the borgel caves afk should be suspended.. its not fair to the rest of us..

But with all the bugs in jedi and the millions of exp we need i can see why someone would do this ... i just dont agree with it

LOL this statement cracks me up

"And not wrong in the way that i think all exploits should be banned just the Jedi ones because its a experiance"

And this

"i got a friend/guildie who i know have been using the surverying and mind healing on a roof top and i've been very tempting to report him"

Report your friend eh?

Why do people feel the need to try and get other people in trouble? Why dont you just mind your own business instead of crying about it?

Back to what the bible says about this subject...

Letthose without sin...be the first to cast stones.

Ever call your bike on one planet... then go to another and call it again.. to get a new bike?

Ever activate clone to kill old buffs before the new system was implemented?

Ever activate clone to go covert instead of waiting an hour?

There are too many ways to exploit in this game, and some you may be doing so unknowingly unless you read these boards often...and you lack common sense....Regardless, nobody likes a tattle tail, and to do so would not only hurt your friend.. but your friendship as well. Now if he was doing something illegal, using/selling/making drugs... or such, then I would suggest telling someone... but to ruin a friendship and develop a bad reputation due to a game? Save yourself the grief.

Turn him in, exploiters need to go. Every class has people who justify exploiting, if you can't handle playing the game without exploiting you shouldn't play. It isn't like you can explain anything to exploiters, they are people of low to no morals who think they are owed something.Almost every combat class in the game is bugged, that is alot of people, how come only certainones feel the right to exploit? SOE should give in game rewards to people who turn in these losers.

When these jedi's are running around 5 to 6 dark jedi pwning your jedi and your guild and your bases and turrets.. It's going to be funny, and if you knew they were macroed grinding to become dark masters i think you would think again... But my theory is the dark jedi masters will get everyone. This game is one sided for the rebs and on my server their are alot of dark jedi..... Lets just put this theory to the test in 3 months...

Hi Linky,

This is simply a choice you have to make for yourself. It comes down to what you believe in. If you feel strong enough against what he is doing, then report him. If you think loyalty to him is stronger, then dont.

Some side things to consider, if you report him, will it even matter. In my opinion he will not get banned for this, and SOE will do nothing as usually. If he does get banned, will that hurt you more in the long run, like effecting your guild etc...

Since you asked for what we would do, for me I wouldn't. I personally dont care what people do if it doesn't effect me directly, and in this case I dont see how it could. This reminds me of a neighbor turning in someone for working on something in their home. I could never understand why someone cared so much what someone else was doing on there own time, that it would bother them so much that they would watch their neighbor to the point they became obsessed, and had to call the city. It always saddened me that some people either lack such a life they have to try and make someone elses less enjoyable, or are so **edit** and pathetic that they need to hassle someone to spite them.

Best of luck on your choice.
