Tittle says it all. For one, not many armorers make this stuff cause of the resources it takes. Giving a bonus might make an incentive for Wookies to make this stuff. Just currious what you all though?

also id like to see race specific armor and each race getting a +1 assembly and +1 exp bonus but that would obvioulsly be down the road.. lets get the rest fixed first : ) Maybe even give a +2 bonus for race sepecific, i think it wuold be neat going to someone that specializes in one type of armor. Especially after CR.. its possible people will be speicalizing in chiten, or padded, or ubese instead of the comp only we have now. btw ive been an armoer since launch. Id love rodian, zabrak, trandosian, ect..only armor. it would be just soo neat seeing all the different armor types and people wearing a wide range of stuff. instead of the CLONE look we have now.

As it is now a 10 point can compete with a 12 point, resources play a big part. but a 12 point with the stuff well obviously its better, a good slice can counter though /grin. Maybe making the armors resource specific like the wookie armors might keep the differences down. Though i think if someone wants to speicalize and gets there +12+2 race to speicalize that would be great.. i mean come on as it is how many great smiths are there per server? and of these how many have full lines of armor? This could also lvl the field a bit by not letting a smith of a race make the best of the best of every type and could give more people a chance to be at the top of a market instead of jsut the one or 2 or 3 guys. No mater how good of resources human-smith has,, Rodian-smith would still make slightly better Rodian armor..

Right there that would add

firstlots of armors for people to make,

second it would give the chance for atleast one of each race to be the best on the server per race base armor. Right now there is no variety,. and this is definatly down the road after CR but its something to think abouit and discuss while we wait : )

I don't like racial bonuses/drawbacks being added over a year after my chance to select my character's race. I dislike the wookiee armor so I couldn't care less about *this* one but an idea not affecting me isn't reason enough to condone it.

Maybe a solution with 11 points max twelve would make it fair..

I think this would be nice but I wouldnt like to compete against a 13 point wookie...

You might want to make the armor simply because you are a wookieE and decide to roleplay. I was motivated to make it for the challenge alone and found it to be one of my most rewarding undertakings as a smith... I think achieving 72 base about 6 weeks after release while most others struggled for mid-60s was just as much of an accomplishment as the RIS quest and mastering a few other "difficult" armors.

As was stated above, mucking with racial abilities at this point really bends over existing players. Any benefit you say being a wookiee will add to your ability to make this armor can be gained by another species hiring a wookiee consultant or researching ancient lore or some such.

edit: I can spell.

What does this have to do with the price of tea in china ? : )

as it is smiths can be +14 jedi anyone? But like i said it wouldnt be a big deal if there was more raical speciific armors if each race had there own chance to make the best or its own type. I personally wouldnt mind seeing other bonus varraitons coming into play either. Like say a master tailor could get a bonus to ubese and padded, or a master scout a bonus to chitin. In those lines of thinking, the scout would know how to manipulate the scales better or the tailor superior sewing and material manipulation. These would not have to be a bonus to maxum resist. But perhaps say make ubese with higher durability or chiten with a lower encumberance. there are soo many things that can be done to make armor more fun to make and much more interesting. Espeically more than the can youi make composite? When was the last time you saw a nice full stock of mabari, or chiten, or even tantel, well before the lightsaber bug. Even padded is rare to find and most wear it for looks. Armor needs a major revamp combat revamp i hope is a huge step in the right direction.

Just try to find wookie armor, most wookies would take any armor, and nothave to pay the hiway robery of 400k+ a suitand to find something decent besides hunting is viturally impossible Has anyone ever seen a wookie even wearing black mountian or cerimonial since hunting came out? I play all the time and never seen it once

sry to burst in from the ws forum, but I am absolutely positive you dont get 2 extra experimentation points from the FS Experimentation row as I have that myself. You do however get a lot more amazing successes

No problem,,

but i can recall tons of posts about 14 point smith debates and stuffright around patch 10, im not gonna dig up posts, but eventhe skill tree says +5 exp in each box.. im not a jedi smith soo i have no idea. But i do know there is that criticle success to that can break caps. in any event +1 exp for race speciifc defiantly wouldnt break the class and maybe add tons of diversity : )

I'm actually glad Kashyyykian Hunting armor is difficult to make. I created an alt for my all-Wookiee guild (been around since launch, now 100 strong and the only all-Wook on Corbantis) before the new armor was released, to ensure we had a steady supply. The resources are many, but everyone stepped up, helped with collecting everything when the spawns were good, and now I am crafting some of the best Wook armor on my server. I only make the Hunting and Ceremonial (it pays to specialize) and because there are so few AS's making it, business is good. My guild is rewarded for their efforts with Hunting armor forfree (public prices are 300K), I contribute weekly to our city's funds, so no sale or property taxes are needed,I pay for our doctor's buff's packs so guild buffing is free, and we have weekly "lotto's", where I give away a million creds, loot kit items, AV-21's, etc.

If that were true, we'd all save ourselves a pile of money and stop at an 11 point smith under the current system.

FS experimentation gives better chance of amazing during experimentation.

I personally think that giving a bonus to wookiee while crafting wook armor is not a good idea.

I should have named this post different cuase you are all missing the fact that i also said all races should get a race specific armor and get a +1 bonus in that armor.. Soo that would mean adding Tran, rodian, twi'lek, zabrak, human, sulstan, armor to the game, Though i think comp should go with human or zab, but tons of you would cry foul on that one. I honestly would hate it if comp was made to go with human as i despise making the stuff. Heck i would probly reroll and make a rodian.
