Thread: Made my second set of RIS (for personal use)

Many months back (before the bugged RIS drops), I was the first to complete a full set of RIS on Shadowfire. I did it with 11 experimentation points, and no experience. It was heavy, 80% kinetic, and in the 60's and 70's on base - bascially composite with acid vunerablility.
I've been casually collecting the components for a second suit for a while now, and taking notes on RIS construction as I made pieces for other people (for a week or two after the drops got bugged it felt like all I did was make RIS).
Anyway, I finished up Force-sensitive experimentation this weekend, so I broke down and made another suit. No pictures, just unsliced stats:
80% kinetic / 80% base, normal vunerabilities, 403/297/293 HAM
Not the best, I'm sure, but I'm much more of a casual player than my post count indicates. I don't have the stomach for massive loot farming, so I made do with what I had around.

Nice suit 
Just waiting for a good spawn of bones and I will make my Interwoven R.I.S.. Will publish the result in this forum

The resources I collected were really nice. The Yavin bone was around 975 OQ/SR. The shards were all low end "exceptional" shards - usually around -30 to -45 to a HAM stat. Even had decent yellow cubes (4%-6% on base).
What got the encumbrance up there was the lack of good Nightsister layers. I had enough 10% and 9% layers to make the suit, but only with one layer in each part. That lead to using crafted kinetic layers.
Still fun to make. If I had any desire to get some ground combat skills back I'd wear the old suit, but alas, ground combat isn't something I'm interested in for the time being.

i am still planning to make my first RIS suit, hehe.
i was going to put in actual RIS layers instead of NS layers.
id rather use 3-7/-7/-7 Layers instead of some crappy -5 NS layers since they are easier to get and cheaper then decent NS layers.
the enhence is gonna be NS shards and yellow cube to boost base
i am really excited to make this, but i dont get a hand on GDK scales on intrepid. i am not willing to pay several millions on em so i have to wait for my guildmates to loot some
but nice suit anyway

either your base % or kinetic % will be very low if you ris layers. it will be low ham.

With nightsister layers and good shards you can get some amazing results. I used 2 exceptional 10% -19 action NS layers and one stun layer maxed for stun along with 7% yellow cubes and exceptional shards to make a head, chest and legs last night.
helm came out 78 kin 13 stun 76 base 0/0/88 enc after an enc slice.
chest is 59 kin (mod success /cry) 13 stun90 base 176/13/0 enc after effect slice
legs are 80 kin 13 stun 78 base 25/77/0 enc after enc slice
I should be able to get similar stats on the other parts with at or near 0/0/0 enc so what you see here is the bulk of the encumbrance for the entire suit. 201/90/88 
Just goes to show...nightsister layers are where its at!

15,13,8% ns layers. 4% yellow cube, -27,-32,-36 excep shards

missing i more set of 10%+ layers to finish the set. i did pickup some 6% cubes this time around.
