Thread: Mandalorian Armor no better than Composite?

Im really surprised no one is raising a fuss about Mandalorian Armor being just an armor skin that will have the same stats as Composite or Chitin.
Mandalorian supposedly being the best armor in the galaxy, but of course, now its only going to be good for Bobba Fett wannabes.
Same with RIS now just being a skin with the same stats as every other battle armor.

Mando armor isn't an issue right now because all the componets are super rare so you don't see many peices out there let alone full suits. Infact i haven't seen that anyone on any server has a full suit of mando armor.

That's not really the point.
What's the point of going through all the hoops to get mandalorian armor if its just going to be the exact same of all other assault armors? Sure it looks cool, but if its supposed to be the best armor in the galaxy, I would expect more

Well i forgot to make my point in that post. The point i was making is that its not common enough right now for us to be fighting over its stats. Right now we're busy fighting to change only getting one meaningful exp line when we used to have 3. It will be a concern i'm sure but right now we're still recovering from having our teeth kicked in by the devs.

I guessI wasted the last month gathering cubes, layers and enhancers to have a set of interwoven RIS made. It looks like:
Interwoven RIS armor= RIS armor= Bone armor
That makes no sense what's so ever. Armor such as RIS and Mandalorian armor are suppose to be epic armor thatis much better then the others because of how hard it is to get all the material need to craft it. How is this going to convert? If you have a very nice piece of RIS with 80 kinetic and 90 base it will convert the same a very nice piece of bone armor that is 35 energy with crappy base?

I personally don't care about Mando armor being as good cause while we "can" craft it outside the DWB there isn't a huge or any demand of people asking me for it. Most will take the schematic to their guild AS anyways and it will most likely be a 1 time use schematic.

To date there's only ONE full suit of mandalorian I've even heard of. And that's on the Bria server. One of the larger imperial guilds that allways does DWB runs managed to build the whole suit. Get a dev to match up the colorus on it, ADKed the whole suit, and has one of their BHs running around in it while he's hunting jedi.

I know Valcyn has a half suit. No, I'm not telling you Valcynites who has it. Should be pretty easy to figure out. *cough*

corbantis was the first to get the full suit, but the devs weren't nice enough to change colors back then

I can say, as a mandolorian armor owner, its quite depressing.
Due to the difficulty of crafting it, I believe it should have some base modifier to the crafted stats.
Also, I never saw official word on this... could someone post me a link?

RIS is getting the same deal. Just a skin now over some special segments that don't mean much.

Stats on armor are the last things on our minds right now.
We're fighting right now just so our profession isn't destroyed.
