Thread: My solution for this asinine situation.

Hi,
First off, I know I am sending this to the wrong person, but i looked and looked and could not find a relevent email address, so thanks for reading. I just wanted to know an email address of the division of Lucas Arts that would handle massive complaints about what a fellow company is doing to your incredible story. Sony Online Entertainment is currently making Star Wars look like nothing better than an Everquest with blasters. I am refering to thier publishing of Star Wars Glaxies. I would like an email address to who ever would hear about thier lack of customer support, lack of concern regarding the Star Wars in the title, and the flat out ingnoring of customers (by deleting cynical posts on thier forums, forums.station.sony.com/swg, or regarding the new combat "upgrade".).

This is no small concern among the SWG devotees. I am trying to take the initiative and go above and beyond SOE's nazi like grasp on information and inform Lucas Arts of the situation and request help and request contact information for other fans that feel the way I do to express thier feelings. Sony is ruining Star Wars good name, and if this continues they will have a negative impact on the release of Episode 3.

I am sorry for bugging you with this, but if you could forward this to someone who could help or email me back with the contact information (email address) of someone who could help please do.

Thank you so much,

A caring customer and fan

Matt Louzon

Edit: I know this will get deleted as soon as GarVa or Virrago sights it, but while its up I wish to say as soon as i get an email back saying what address to send complaints about SOE to at Lucas ArtsI will post it. Under whatever alt/ new account i have to.

Snail mail is the best bet. Usually has a greater impact than an email. Although I know it will do no good, I have already drafted a letter that I will probably send in the morning. I am a paying customer of a product they license so just for once I would like to feel that my voice is being heard. I invite all who are displeased with the direction SWG is heading to join me and at least voice your displeasure to LAE. Probably nothing more than a symbolic gesture but what do we have left at this point.

I respect your intentions here, sadly, if you take the Tyrant departure,
where the release date of both CU and ROTW was first published,
the fact everything in beta is already Lucasarts approved,
and that lead producer in charge of this CU is infact a Lucasarts employee, it becomes obvious who exactly is pushing this through.

No matter what has happenned here, and although I am an armoursmith on TC I very rarely frequent this forum so not even going to comment, Lucasarts are the driving force behind all this, I know people see good ole' George as a saviour, but the truth is every change ever made to SWG has been done with full knowledge and approval of Lucasarts, some of the worse ones were made at the bequest of LA.

George gets money from this, as it stands now, and as it will be,he gets his cut from SOE, they take all the flak.
That is all he cares about, and anyone thinking Lucasarts are unaware of the changes taking place are deluding only themselves.

Lucasarts is why the changes are happenning.

As sad as that is, it is probably true. But you never know. If this reaches the right people. someone may be able to pull some strings.

People always seem to forget that LUCAS is the one who invented movie merchandising as we know it, and that Lucasarts has a wellearned reputation for ruining every game they touch. Ask yourself why EQ2, another SOE product, DOES have responsive devs, good additions and better programming.

As a crafter on a couple servers but NOT an Armorsmith I must step in here because the failure of the Devs to "listen" to any of us is universal. I must also point out that the ONLY problem here is the communities failure to REALLY do anything about it. I read all these posts about the Devs failure to heed to the desires of us, the guys who pay their salaries, and act accordingly. How many of you guys who constantly post how the Devs never listen to us have actually cancelled your subscriptions? Almost 2 yrs into this and the problem from the beginning is the same problem as today. The devs refuse to listen to the community. If its been 2 yrs and no progress how many of you actually think its ever gonna get better?! If you want to make a statement then cancel your subscriptions. That is the only "post" they will listen to.I know this game is addictive and all but if things are that bad then quit. The devs will take notice of that if nothing else. I dont expect this post to be around long so take heed, and yes I have cancelled my subscription in case anyone asks.

My husband and some of my RL friends play it, and apparently service is much better. They even have in-game polls, asking about possible content to add. Also, when the login server is down, they have a back door so you can log in directly to the server. Sounds like hellaciously better service than SWG.
