this current CU system seems to be the equivalent to all pve opponents being stackers....

i think that having armor certification as well as pve damage scaling with player character levels is redundant. if you can't wear armor you will take more damage. there is no reason why pve damage needs to scale since armor is doing the scaling for you.

i feel that if they took away the pve damage scaling and just stick with armor certification, the devs will get the effect they want. if it isn't enough, they can make hiderances on armor even greater. this way, the armor still maintains its importance.... having the phantom "group armor" doesn't make sense. it won't be good for armorsmiths, and it won't be good for the game.

also... i have recently assembled a 12 point armorsmith suit, so i am somewhat biased. i hope to eventually become an armorsmith. as a current DE i can say that the experimentation system there isn't very interesting at all. there are no choices to make. and most of the time, skipping experimentation gives you the same result. if protection and hinderance are not independant variables, an AS might choose to skip experimenting on anything. i don't see how that could be fun or interesting for anyone. compound that with character level damage scaling, and armor seems almost unimportant.
