Thread: Slicing bug

I just got slicing II a little bit ago got some WUK's then started slicing, first i tried slicing my scout blaster, got to the slicing screen chose red wire, i got a message saying i needed a laser knife to perform that action, so i got my cargo pocket with laser knives out of my backpack and put it into my main inventory, when i tried again it said i'm already slicing something, then i deleted the scout blaster that i was slicing and tried slicing a different weapon, still it says im already slicing something, any of you guys have suggestions on what to do?

The only time I got this message was when I had a slicing window open and I tried slicing another weapon at the same time. Maybe you should check all your windows and see if there still is a slicing window behind all your other windows.

So not sure if this ever happened to anyone. I was in the middle of slicing something when something went wrong. Not sure what happened but you know how you cut one wire then it prompts you to cut wire #2? Well, it never prompted me to cut wire #2. So now I'm stuck and the system thinks I"m in the middle of slicing something.



So I can't slice anything at all right now.



Anyone have any ideas? I tried relogging, zoning, dying, just about everything.

Slicing bug...


So I just started slicing recently and I've come acrossed a problem where i was slicing a weapon and the box happend to go away, and instead of finishing the slice. I'm stuck in that process. Due to the fact that you can slice anywhere while doing anything, nothing will cancel out the slicing process. I've tried logging out for extended periods of time, shuttling, fighting, dying, incaps, emptying all of my inventory.....all nothing. I submitted a bug report and csr. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas that could fix this sooner... thanks

Have you tried sitting down and doing /logout instead of disconnecting? I had a similar problem where I was stuck crafting. /logout fixed it.

I've heard that slices take time to take effect, but haven't actually seen or used sliced equipment yet. Anyone else know?

I have sliced quite a few suits post CU. The stats never show up right away but the details do say it has been altered by a smuggler. After a while (at least an hour, not positive how long exactly) the stats do change when you examine them. It's very frustrating trying to explain to customers that I did slice their armor even though the stats don't look different at the time of the transaction.

yeah we tried that out with two of us armorsmith on farstar.


as it seems you need to log out some hours so the slice taken effect.


but there is another great bug ... the mate is AS/smuggler so he could slice the armor by himself.


it was 18% slice.


after he came in after a while we found out that its not 18% sliced ... its 43% sliced!

Not sure if it's new as today is the first time I've sliced armour since CU. Spatial reported an increase in base effectiveness of 18% but nothing changed on the armour. I tried several pieces of different types of armour (ubese, padded, rebel battle,comp)all with the same result. Again not sure if this is a known issue but if not FYI. (bug report filed in game)

update ... i tryed now myself too ... summoned a smuggler to me and let him slice my armor it was


recon K4350 E6350 SP5350


he told me that he made a 8% base effectivness slice.


But no change visible... not after trade, not after selling to vendor and withdraw and get again ... not after dropping to the floor and pick up again.


Ok now i logged out for some hours ... and logged in some min ago ... and now the slices took place... but with higher slice then the smuggler told me.


They are now 12.74% base effectivness sliced.

HUMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm........



See When i was Sliceing armor after CU it was Working Fine then all the sudden it dident work when i sliced as stated above.....


I think i'll have to try the log out and back in thing it's the SAME as the PSG think where the Protection goes down and neaver comes back up tell you logout and back in even though it's still protecting you.
