Thread: PSGs broken?
That's not True. They have a Bug yes but they DO work.
I Tested them and they work same as armor, if you Turn on all the Combat Spam you can see it dose work.
Take note though the Eff goes down as you get hit and you take more damage each hit tell it's at 0% and won't protect you tell it recharges thats where Recharge rait come's in. i make one with like 1000 ish Energy raiting and like arownd 100 Recharge rait, takes like 30 sec or so to Fully recharge. Every 3 Sec it will recharge x#% depending on the recharge rait.
For example when fighting sith doing my Phase quest the First few shots would be real low numbers like 10 then 23 then 39 then 45 then 50 or 60 witch is where there is no PSG protection and only my armor is protecting me, But ever 3 sec the PSG would go up "WEAK" but it would redise the damage down to like 30-40 for a hit or 2 then be dead again, ect ect.
They do work if you play with them you will see they are working, The Bug they have on them is this,
When Loged on Shild is at Example 1000 Energy As eff goes down the Energy raiting goes down as well as it should at 50% it's 500 at 20% its 200 ect ect.... the Prob is that once it goes down that number dose NOT come back up with the Eff % even though it STILL DOSE protection you like it should the number's stay 0 for some reson Tell you log off and back on.
This bothered me tell i tested it out.
NOTE: PSG's do NOT work for Lightsaber's even though they are energy damage PSG's are restricted to Ranged ONLY protection. FYI anyone dident know.
Actually, Logging Off and On again does NOT "Fix" them most of the time. I usually have to put it in my droid until the next day before it goes up again.
Plus, there IS a Bug where you can equip a Never Used PSG. Once it hit's 100% Charge, the Resists drop to 0 for no reason. Not in combat at all while it is charging, condition still shows Full (ex. 100/100).
The way they *SHOULD* work is.... When they take damage, the charge % should go down and charge backup at it's Recharge rate. The Charge % should be how much of the Full Resist is actually applied to the damage reduction. The Resist value should NOT drop unless it's Condition gets VERY low (below 50%).
But, that is not what is happening. After only a couple of Hits the Resist Value drops to the floor and takes a day for it to come back to what it was.
So, yes they do work (technically). But, they are BUGGED. Meaning their resists fall to 0 after a few hits (few = 3-5 hits). Then do not return to normal for a day. Which make them basically meaningless right now.
Granted it dose fall Fast when Fighting thing's that do a lot of damage But it Still work's wether the Number's show up or not If the Eff is is more then 0% then it is Protecting you for that % of Max Resistents. I though it was going to 0 and not coming back that's why i Tested it, the Number's are buged not the Protection.
Also i Agree the Eff should not Fall as fast as it dose, if you have ever played any of the other SW games where they had any type of shilds in it they neaver neaver Fell this fast, it was way slower and the Cond on them decayed at a vary slow rait unless it was hiting 0% Repetedly over and over... i.e. you where geting your ... Stomped.
They need to Fix PSG Bugs there is atlease 2, the Resistents Numbers on the PSG not showing right after the first few hits and the speed at witch they fall it way way to fast.

They are no more broken than most other things in this damn CU. So why bother complaining? The Devs don't care. Period.

umm i did major testing on psgs and they are broke dont believe me go to top 10 issues for AS its up there...

yes they do work for a brief time till all the resists go to 0.... then guess what you are taking full damage.....now you are gonna tell me well then the efficiency hit 0 wrong... this is where my testing different psgs out did... i made a 97% efficiency psg... yep... 1000 resist... before it even reached 0 heck the efficiency didnt even reach half way before the resist fell to 0...they block damage yes till the resist reach 0 which will take about 10 hits...with the 97% eff psg...

yes and we are not noobs we know how they work... they are technically broke the resists on the psg are not suppose to drop... condition is suppose to...
They do work if you play with them you will see they are working, The Bug they have on them is this,
um i would have never made that statement unless i personally tested them myself i think it is you who needs to actually go play with them and test them... i made 2 types of psgs... a 2500 resist 65% eff.... then a 1000 resist with a 97% eff... read the top 10 AS issues will see that psgs are up there because it is broke... they are not usable in the condition they are in...

no it didnt help... you didnt do much testing did you.... i tested with high eff and medium efficiency and you try to correct my statement... first off if you are going to correct somebody you need better stats then what you gave... i took 2 psgs and basically took eff out of the equation....
eff is not the problem here... i proved that efficiency NEVER reached 0 and it while you had more then 50 percent eff left the resists fell within a few shots to 0...
so YES THEY ARE BROKE...
