Starting to make armor now.. question about the different PSG components..

Looking at the deflector shield pieces, the don't have any experimentation options.. does this mean we can just use any ol' resources in the slots? Plain old metal, cheap copper, etc.. etc.. and it won't have any effect on the PSG they're used in?

You hit the nail on the head. Use whatever garbage resources you can get your hands on. The only thing that affects the final stats are the iron, steel, and gemstones or ore that you use in the final assembly.

I am a new armorsmith and I am trying to make some of the prototype PSGs. I was told by somebody that the components for PSGs do not matter (or matter very little) as far as expirementation goes, meaning I could use any junk resources to make the components. I was not sure if this was true or not. Could someone enlighten me on this subject. Be nice if it was true, that would really cut down the amount of resources I have to shop for.

Wait, let me rephrase this a little. I know that the armorsmith PSG components don't have any expiremental values on them. I need to know about the Artisan components though. The Power Conditioners and the Energy Distrubotors. Do the expiremental stats on these items really affect the final stats on a PSG? I know they can be expiremented on.

Yeah you can experiment on EneryDists and Pwer Conds but when you are done, examine it,..you'll see no real stats on it anyways.
