Very light composite

I have been playing about with composite last night to see what can be done..... Apart from the standard triple layered kinetic stuff everyone sells, I managed to get 56% base 80% kinetic for around 600/600/600 HAM - now got 5 suites of this for selling.... Anyway back to the topic, I also tried some standard composite with the overall goal to produce the lowest HAM, and ended up with 24% base with a HAM like 240/240/240 ish for the whole suit. Does anyone market this - I can see two uses, low HAM and coverage in everything but stun, good general armor for when things jump out from behind a tree, or as a bluff to those riflemen who seeing a comp kitted opponent will switch to there Jawa ion rifles, only to be against an opponent who still has enough HAM left over to just shrug off there attention until he can kill them.

Anyway, why do people cry for new armor when what we have is a flexible as the above in producing completely deferent end results. OK, they will look the same, but they don't fight the same...

Because of the fact that most people dont care about HAM costs on armor. Food, buffs and spice are cheap enough that anyone can get past the HAM requirements. All most people care about right now is if it's got the UBER L337 protection. It gets boring making the same composite..max base...left over goes into special protection cookie cutter suit of armor every time. Give us our new armor.

uhm... try krayt composite segments that are 25% or higher

i used 34% krayt segs and achieved 20/24/18 enc on the boots, with 71% base effectiveness. i didn't have enough for the whole suit, but according to my estimations, that's approx. 350on all encumberances. get enough segs, get enough good slices... you could have 90% suits with the nearly unnoticeable encumberance. throw in a stun helm for good measure, you have the best suit on your server.

If you use 0 HAM / 2% base electric layer you get the close to the same result with higher base. My advance composite is at 60%base and less than 400 HAM preslice. Wonder how low HAM would be in non-advance composite. I'll make some tonight and post the result for you.
