ok i had a friend say the leader of his guild on bria has a 95% kinetic ubese helm...is this even possible? i didn't think so but they guy swears it's legit...ps i havent seen it so this could all be a myth....so what are the max limits on ubese preslice and postslice?

I was under the impression 80% was maximun Preslice, and you could get it to 90% with a great slice, but I might be wrong, anyone else?

Slicing only effects base resists, not special. I don't see how 95% kinetic is possible.

Player-made Ubesedoes notbeyond 80% kinetic. Kinetic is a special protection no matter how the Ubese is created, and special protections do not exceed 80% and are unaffected by slicing.

He may not be lying, prior to max cap on armor it was possible to get 99% or 100% resists. If you trace back the update notes you'll see the cap somewhere, it happened a few months ago now, it was certainly before Christmas.

not possible, 80% is the highest possible. i experiment for about 91-92% on ubese, including the layers and segments. the max possible is 80% kinetic. any inherent special protections (like electric on composite) is considered a built-in layer.
now, it IS possible to loot something like you're talking about. on wanderhome, tik'ee looted chitin armor pants that were 90% down the line and had skill mods... freaking insane. i saw it... he'll never sell it... log into wanderhome and go check his chitin legs out... he doesn't mind showing off a trophy like that... oh yeah, and the condition on them? like 60,000!!!
forgot to mention, you can't slice special protections, on the base effectiveness is affected, as previously stated.

A 100% resist would mena the player would be invulnerable to that damage type, am I not right? That would rock!!

Highly unlikely. It would have to be old enough to be made before the 80% cap, and it would have required an amazing Krayt Scale to accomplish 95% Kinetic. (Kinetic protection on Ubese cannot be increased by a slice)
Back then, resources were kicking out maybe 63% Kinetic at best, probably closer to 60%. That means whoever created it would have needed 35% kinetic Krayt scales.

like they said, it is impossible today, but was theoretically possible in the past. There was actually a pair of comp gloves that was 100% reists to all but stun vunerable. It was made with like a 40%'s or 50%'slegendary krayt component. It caused quite an uproar, cause a full suit would mean 'god mode'. But the reality was with stun vunerability they could still be killed, and with the 5% decay on death, they would eventually fall apartanyway...and the ability to get enough of these matching krayt scales to make more than just pairs of gloves was RISpossible. Still, the Dev's put in the 80% preslice/90% postslice cap in (a good idea) just to prevent this happening, and now that is the max.
But forUbese? You would need something other than krayt, and it would have to be really old. Besides, it couldn't be from a slice, as special resists dont' raise on slices, so that is impossible. So I would say it is possible, but highly unlikely.
by the way, was Double Slicing ever possible with armor, or was that a weapon only exploit?
