1822 chest plates, which are made from roughly:
150,000 metal
119,000 fiberplast
73,000 hides
46,000 inert petrochem
5466 synthetic cloth, which is made from:
88,000 fiberplast and 22,000 inert petrochem.
k does any one have an exaxt number ?

Ignore the exact values and add 10% to each estamated - because you will crit fail a good few and just waste the resources.

Just finsihed the grind myself and i was actually surprised at the number of critical fails i did as i got a schematic for synthetic cloth and i still have about 400 spare (roughly)
Now ive just got to regain my lost wealth and start to learn about armourcrafting

now people tell me to craft ubese shirts in game cos of no syn cloth is this better or not ?

The armorweve chests give XP three times quicker. Getting the resources is more diffucult - but if your flush with cash it's the way to go.
