Always wanted to do this and I put the plan into action a few weeks ago

Like most masters I`d like to make good kinetic armor and eventully stun armor.

For now I`m just looking for tips in the direction of making good 80/60 comp armor so I can start to make some decent money.

Any tips on what to use my exp points on and the resource stats to look for are much appriecieted.

Elder Jedi & Alliance Ace Pilot

Read an Armorsmithing guide.. funny how youare a masterbut still know nothing about making armor.. I may be months before you start making anything descent btw.. takes a while to stockpile descent ingredients.

Yeah getting to 80/60 is totally dependent on resources. Being a Master youSHOULD know what to look for. Just go to to swgcraft.com and watch it every day and when the good resources come up, throw everything you have at it. I've been a Master since November and I just got my Ubese over 70% kinetic this week

There are a lot out there. Holosmiths who stopped on armorsmith. Im one of them. Im tired of grinding, and i happen to be something which i think i want to actually try.

Im in the same position. Master armorsmith, but i know nothing whatsoever of armor. It seemingly will take quite some time to get anything worthwhile out of it. Fortunately, im a master doc at the same time, so i still have some cash inflow.

Ok, I'll get you started...

When looking for resources:

OQ+Mal affects the HAM of the armor you are creating.

OQ+SR affects the resists of the armor you are creating.

OQ+UT affects the durability or hitpoints of the armor you are creating.

Obviously Overall Quality is the number one consideration. After that it depends on what you are going for. Most smiths go for Shock Resistance to make better resists. Aclose second is Malleability, especially when you make layers. Most people don't concern themselves too much with Unit Toughness.

Again though, Jaato explains all this in detail in the guide.
