Looted skill tapes. You'll need a total of +20 armor experimentation to get the extra 2 points. I have heard conflicting reports that +25 armor experimentation causes more amazingexperiments than a +20 gets. It makes sense, as the bespin port does the same thing, but that doesn't mean it works. *shrug*. I don't have +25 to test it out with.

loot em or buy em

check your trade forum usually 1-3 mill per point so plan on spending 20-60 mill for your suit depending on the market and your server.

although the bespin says armoru exp on it, it really works like armour assembly. it seems to help, but i have had nice amazing streaks without it. as well, i have +26 armour assemply without the bespin, and since the cap is supposedly +25, its un sure right now if the bespin will allow u to go higher than the cap...

yes you need skill tapes that equal +20

+10 gets you one extra so you would have 11 points to work with.

You will have 7 pieces of clothing to spread them across so will will need some that are greater than +1 to get to the full +20. make sure you read a post on how skill tapes work before you start dropping them into sockets. You should know they dont stack (so don't put more than one exerimentation tape into a piece of clothing) and other stuff like that.

You may want to take a look at the possible outcomes before investing credits.

So far, the only advantage I've seen is when making light armor. The extra points allow you to get a higher resist. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

For example. Many have said "HAM doesn't matter". (I'm not one of them, I like making light comp.) With 10 points, I have no problem maxing one line...ie base. I get the same base as 12 point smiths.Putting a couple of points into HAM reduction gets very little return. And using them to increase the base on Ubese is a joke as well.

So....you can get it a little lighter, but it's still not wearable without buffs. Is being able to knock 50 points off HAM on a heavy suit worth 40-60 mil?

Where I do see the value, is in experimenting for a light set. You can max the durability and still have points left for increasing resistances. So...instead of a wearable 80%kin/60%base. You get 80%kin/63+%base.

Don't misunderstand. I'd love to get the additional points and will strive to do so. But I'm not going to sacrifice other things to do it.

With the revamp...this may be a totally different issue.

Most people ignore the bandolier in their count because most people are physically unable to remove their backpacks.

LOL

Aren't crafters miserable creatures? We wear packs so heavy and crammed full of stuff that we can't take them off because our pockets are so heavy and crammed full of stuff...

Anywho, to fix that just plop a vendor down and put up your packs for sale at 99,999,999 credits and then you can wear the bandolier. The only reason I mention it is because sometimes that extra piece of clothing can make a HUGE difference (and it's easier than trying to find a bunch of huge tapes).

The clothing list is necessary , so you know exactly how many tapes you need to hit the magical extra +20 armor experimentation. If you check your server trade boards, I'm sure you'll see auctions for clothing attachments with pluses to armor experimentation ( usually for a million credits a point or more). All crafting tapes are clothing attachments. Once you hit plus 10, you'll have 11 experimentation points to play with in crafting something. Once you hit +20, you'll have 12.
