OK, moronic question here. What do you and the other members here mean by this?
make sure you are making advanced segs too instead of regualr ones.
Question, do you stack 3 kinetic layers? Or do you use a combination of different layers?
I'm sorry if this sounds newbish but I've looked through 60+ posts on the subject and no one ever answers it. Also, what is the best layer to use to boost the base on Adv Comp armor without worrying about specialization?

I use 3 seperate layers, then I can run off a 1000 ct schem of my seg.
Makes at least 45 suits that way .. ![]()

Here's a post that does a pretty good job of explaining layers. Read this and then experiment on gloves.

Sorry but no. You dont make high kinetic layers to get high kinetic composite. Composite crafting is different from Ubese crafting. As the kinetic resist of your product depends also on the base resist of your segments and layers, it is much better to focus on base resist and dont spend any points on kinetic resist at all (rather spend them on lowering encumberance). Oh this is assuming you are using three kinetic layers, btw.
If you are familiar with Excel you may want to play around with Virtual Armorsmith a bit. (http://web.tampabay.rr.com/hluinge/va12.zip)
