I'm wanting to know if Chitin armor can be layered. Thank you.

Bone, Mabari, and chitin - 0 layers

Tantel and Ubese - 1 layer

Padded, RIS, and interwoven bone - 2 layers

Composite and interwoven RIS - 3 layers

Yes, Tantel armor works, it has 0 vulnerabilities and doesn't seem to shift. However it does have a new issue. The palette is acting up.

So after the statshift was fixed tantel suddenly got a use, low encumbrance overall protection w/stun. Sadly it is still only 3 pieces, boots, helm and chest.

Well that's sad. My armorsmith toon on Ahazi is still just levelling up (slow process and leisurely 3-0-0-0) as well as dancer. I'd like to make advance bone armor for newbs. I'd have to locate the resources first of course, but as a master artisan, I've managed to get the energy resists up to 34-35%. I'd like to see the resists with an advanced segment. Anyone know?

Max energy resist on advanced bone armor seems to be 50%. Thats with perfect resources of course. With what I got I managed to get 44%.

I have to say, though, with the bone armor, I managed to get kinetic resists using voritor segments. Now, if only I knew that the hide components could just be dragged onto the finished component. Oh well.

See, this isn't half bad for the encumbrance coming with bone armor. I would wear a full suit of advanced bone armor for faction missions any day. It's not going to be uber but with the low encumbrance taking out nearly half of the blaster fire impact, I would definitely invest in a few suits. Now to get my guild armorsmith to make me a Chitin suit with my kliknik scales. They have negative encumbrance mods. I'd love to see a suit with that.

As it turns out, Chitin is decent armor for what it does. My main toon has a nice armorsmith in the guild. He did a factory run of Chitin armor that is 50% kinetic resistent. I really dig this armor and visually appealing (minus the helmet) compared to comp and ubese.
