I just started my first run of Mk3 PSG's
Cond 6777 Energy prot 2155 recharge 54.5 (I may be slightly out on these but they are about right)
Now I know the actual PSG sub components have no stats and I could possibly get some slightly better resources.
Does any of the experimentation on the Artisan sub components make any difference or is it allways the final combine experimentation and the resources there that determine how good your PSG is going to be.

Only final combine resources and experimentation matters for psg's.
Judging from your numbers, you are a 10-point smith, right? PSG crafting is the only armorsmith item where having 12 points really matters, so if you are serious about doing psg's you might want to look for the ca's..

Only running them out for guildies as they asked me nicely so it's only a run of 20 to start with.
just wondered if I had missed something as it's not something I'm seriously going into, still building my 12pt suit but am not going to go spending a fortune the tapes for it.
those stats were using the odds and ends of resourcesI had lying around that were not really in high enough quantities for making armour with and the guys only want them for PvE.

Not bad. I too are just starting to make PSG's. I think I hit 2300 something protection w/ 58 recharge.
