I am trying to learn some stuff about Armor

One of my questions is :

Lets say my friend can make me a set of capped recon armor

energy layered recon 3800K 8200E 6000B

If i was to wear a PSG on top of that for 2100,

Would that bring the protection against Energy to 10300,... or does it cap at 10000

I am seeing if I need to go get all the components to try to MAX out the recon Armor I want or just enough to coincide with my PSG to bring it to 10000

Thanks in Advance!!!

Someone reported a little while back the PSG resists and armor resists did seem to stack so that would imply that total resist cap at 10k. However, even if the do cap, you still want the max out of your energy armor because your PSG is going to lose effectiveness with each hit it takes until it has a chance to recharge.

not to mention that if your planning on hunting jedi a PSG only blocks ranged attacks.

oooh, left out that very important point. Yes, PSGs do nothing vs. sabers.
