Does anyone know why the user option to choose your own armour colour was removed in the Combat Upgrade process? I really miss this ability. Any ideas on the reasoning behind this?

For those who came post CU: When a piece of armour was not worn and you clicked on it, the radial menu gave you an option to choose a colour. You could do this as often as you'd like.

The pre CU armor colour radial was only present on comp armor. All other armors did not have this feature. Of course, everyone and their dog ran around in comp pre CU so its a moot point about other armors.

As to why they choose to remove it? thats anyone's guess

The change color option for composite armor was added after a patch that blanched out many pieces of composite.

They added the color change option to allow people to change thier armor back to the color it was, and was only supposed to last 2 weeks.

Lasted more than a year...

Really, the radial colorization thing was great, if spoiling. I still vote for colorization kits.

Oh, and fix the damned color bug for factories, too.

Great info guys. Didn't realize the colourization radial option was there to fix a prior bug. I vote for colourization kits too! Terrific idea.

If they brought back the color palette option on ALL armor then they wouldn't have to fix the factory color bug!

Somebody get these ideas to the attention of the AS Correspondent or the Devs! Not sure how to make that happen myself...

These ideas have been posted at least a hundred times. (literally)
And the devs do know about it.

They tried fixing it a couple times, but still can't figure out what's wrong.

Tiggs or Blix said "it's harder to locate the problem thanwe thought" or something like that.
